Along with being a photographer, I consider myself first and foremost a storyteller. Photographing life in a way that puts content before form, that goes beyond creating mere “evidence” of existence, is what drives me as an individual and informs all of my photographic projects.
In my daily work I employ journalism and independent interviewing, oral history methods, first person accounts and the contextualisation of such to create comprehensive and compelling narratives.

It’s our human past that turns my research sensors on. I believe it’s important to link knowledge of the past with current developments and circumstances. For what’s happened, may happen again.
